Meanwhile, the state government had paid the new wages to the employees on the first day of the month on Tuesday.

All regular employees, contract and outsourcing staff, village and ward secretariat staff, village and ward volunteers and the pensioners have received their monthly pay late on Tuesday night.

While some employees claim that there was an increasing in their pay compared to December 2021, there are others who produce their payslip to show that there was no hike.

The government had released payslips of some employees, selected from every government department and HoD to show the revised and increased salaries.

In the process, while the employees are firm on holding their protest rally in Vijayawada on February 3, the police are gearing up to prevent it.

The police across the state are learned to be preparing to keep the leaders under house arrest from the evening of February 2, to prevent the rally.

It is to be seen how the employees would hold their protest and how the government would handle it, with both sides standing firm on their demands.
