Chiru Sir Is A Big Inspiration: Krithi Shetty

Krithi Shetty has become a busy bee much before the release of her first film Uppena. The actress has made interesting revelations while speaking to scribes.

Is your real name Advaitha?

No actually, there’s another actress with the name Krithi Shetty. She changed her name to Advaitha.

What’s your native place?

My native place is Mangalore. But, I was born and brought up in Mumbai.

How did you learn Telugu in such short span?

Director Buchi Babu garu helped me very much. He used to speak with me in Telugu. Hero Vaishnav Tej and others worked for the film too helped me learning the language.

Your best memories during the film’s shoot?

There was an emotional sequence in the film and I saw tears rolling down from the eyes of our DOP Shamdat, after the scene was shot.

Tell us about your working experience with Vijay Sethupathi?

He’s normally very jovial on sets. But, between action and cut, he gives top class performance.

Do you know before signing the film that Vaishnav Tej is nephew of Chiranjeevi and Buchi Babu was protégé of Sukumar?

I know how big star Chiranjeevi sir was. But, I really don’t know about directors. When I first met Sukumar sir, he was very confident that I can pull off the role. In fact, I could do justice to the role because of the faith he had in me.

How was it working with Vaishnav Tej?

He is very down to earth and sweet person. I really needed the support. He’s very good and a brilliant actor.

How was it working under Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings?

I feel so special working under the leading production house.

What’s the best compliment you received for Uppena?

Sukumar sir appreciated my performance and producer Naveen turned very emotional. However, I felt proud when Chiranjeevi sir was talking about my performance on stage during pre-release function. He is great inspiration for me.
