Shiva Shankara Vara Prasad has become Chiranjeevi with his first film "Pranam Khareedu" in 1978 and eventually shot to stardom ever since Khaidi in 1983.

Khaidi (1983):
It will be a surprise to know that this is the Chiranjeevi's 62nd film. That means he acted in 61 films in the first 4-5 years of his career.

Rudraveena (1988):
After enjoying the stardom as a mass hero for years together, Chiranjeevi decided to do some meaningful films those can inspire the youngsters to do socially right things.

He produced and acted in "Rudraveena" in the direction of K Balachander.

The film has won prestigious National Award in the categories of Best Feature Film on National Integration, Best Music Direction for Ilayaraja and Best Playback singing for SP Balasubrahmanyam.

Later the film was also made in Tamil with Kamal Hasan in the lead with the title "Unnal Mudiyum Thambi".

Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari (1990):
This is the film that shook many existing earlier records of Chiranjeevi. The comeback of Sridevi from Bollywood was an added glory for this film.

Gang Leader (1991):
This Vijaya Bapineedu directorial has redefined the making standards of commercial mass films.

It became a huge blockbuster that it was remade in Hindi as Aaj Ka Gundaraj with Chiranjeevi reprising the role and in Kannada as Kutumba with Upendra in main lead.

The Hindi remake has made Chiranjeevi more popular in Bollywood circuit as well. 

Tagore (2003):
This is the remake of Tamil hit "Ramanaa" directed by AR Murugadoss. The film has the element of eradication of corruption from the society.

The film has given a new turn to Chiranjeevi and contributed to gain some mileage to enter into politics as well.

This biggest hit has brought the National Award for lyricist Suddala Ashok Teja for penning the song "Nenu Saitam...".
