The ongoing war between two prominent Telugu television news channels over TRP ratings has already assumed ugly proportions, with both the channels indulging in negative campaign against each other.
Now, this war seems to have spilled over to their reporters as well. In a latest episode, two women reporters representing these channels openly resorted to wordy duel over displaying their channel logos at a press conference in Vijayawada.
Not only that, they captured their heated arguments and abuses on their respective mobiles and shared them in social media. The videos went viral within no time, exposing the ugly war between the two channels and damaging the reputation of journalistic fraternity.
The women journalists – Hasina representing TV9 and Rehana representing NTV – indulged in a war of words over display of their channel logos. However, it was Rehana, who captured the shouting by Hasina on her mobile and put it on the social media.
In the video that went viral, Hasina was seen threatening to expose the “stories” of Rehana and her history.
“Nobody knows your stories. But I have your entire history and your emails. Don’t do such dirty journalism. You have beaten me and bitten me in the past. Don’t do such things again,” Hasina warned.
Apparently, both the women journalists were trying for supremacy in covering the CMO beat in Andhra Pradesh and getting into the good books of the top ruling party leadership.
Sources said the managements of both the television channels took serious view of the fight between the two reporters.
It is learnt the NTV management transferred Rehana to Visakhapatnam, while TV9 management shifted Hasina to Hyderabad.
