Chandrababu Naidu Speaks About His Arrest

On Wednesday, TDP supremo and former chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu expressed concerns that the government might arrest him at any moment.

During a gathering with advocates, teachers, and other professionals in Rayadurgam, Naidu conveyed that the current government was indiscriminately filing cases and arresting political leaders.

Naidu informed the gathering that the government had initiated investigations and filed cases against him, which could potentially lead to his arrest in the near future.

He emphasized that, throughout his forty-year political career, he had never faced a single case. While the late Rajasekhar Reddy had attempted to file some cases against him, those efforts had not succeeded. Readmore!

Naidu alleged that it was Jagan Mohan Reddy's government that was behind the filing of these cases and urged the people to support him in removing this government from power.

He mentioned that there were only a few months left for this government's tenure and urged the people to bring the TDP back to power to restore democracy in the state.

Naidu, known for his ability to manage institutions and evade criminal charges, is currently under scrutiny by the IT department.

The IT department has already issued notices to Naidu, requesting details about the Rs 118 crore in funds that he allegedly received as kickbacks.

It remains to be seen whether Naidu is more concerned about potential arrest by the IT department or by the state government, which has also initiated a CID investigation.
