Centre Won't Interfere In Phone Tapping Issue!

Former Andhra Pradesh CM N Chandrababu Naidu might be of the view that he had taken the telephone tapping issue to the national level by writing a letter to PM Modi seeking a high-level probe into the whole episode.

The national media, which has generally been pro-Naidu for decades, has given huge coverage to his letter to the Prime Minister. But the Bharatiya Janata Party seems to have taken Naidu’s allegations very easy.

BJP national official spokesman and Rajya Sabha member G V L Narasimha Rao on Tuesday made it clear categorically that the Centre would not interfere in the allegations on telephone tapping made by the TDP chief.

“The courts will have all powers to probe into all such allegations and not the Centre. The courts don’t need any cooperation from Chandrababu Naidu,” GVL said in reaction to the letter written by the TDP president to the Prime Minister. Readmore!

Describing phone tapping issue as purely a political issue, the BJP official spokesman said Naidu had not even mentioned whose phone had been tapped by the AP government.

“The TDP chief has the capacity to obtain stays from the courts. He can get into the Guinness Book of Records in terms of obtaining stays in the courts,” Narasimha Rao said in a sarcastic tone.
