CBI Says Avinash Is A8 In Viveka Murder

In yet another counter petition, the CBI informed the Telangana High Court on Thursday that Kadapa MP Y S Avinash Reddy is Accused 8 in the former minister Vivekananda Reddy murder case.

The CBI filed the counter petition in court, opposing the bail plea of Y S Bhaskar Reddy, who is currently in jail.

The CBI stated in court that Avinash Reddy and his father, Bhaskar Reddy, attempted to destroy evidence related to Viveka's murder.

Furthermore, the CBI revealed that Avinash Reddy and Sivashankar Reddy attempted to influence local CI Shankaraiah, urging him not to register a case or conduct a post-mortem on Vivekananda Reddy's body after the murder. Readmore!

The CBI also informed the court that both Avinash Reddy and his father, Bhaskara Reddy, tried to influence the accused, Dastagiri, instructing him not to cooperate with investigative agencies, including the CBI.

According to the CBI's counter petition, Avinash Reddy arrived at the crime scene within one minute of receiving a call from Sivashankar Reddy on his mobile phone.

The CBI alleged that both Avinash Reddy and Bhaskar Reddy were attempting to influence witnesses in the case and were not cooperating with the CBI's investigation.

Granting bail to Bhaskar Reddy would provide them an opportunity to influence witnesses and tamper with the evidence, the CBI argued before the court.
