Veteran Kapu leader of YSR Congress party and former minister Mudragada Padmanabham has been seething with anger ever since his daughter Bralapudi Kranti released a video in support of Jana Sena Party president Pawan Kalyan and opposing the stand taken by her father in the elections.
On Monday, Mudragada accused Pawan Kalyan of engineering a split in his family and dragging her daughter into politics.
“You have trapped my daughter and instigated her to speak against me. In any case, she is not my daughter now, but she belongs to a different family after marriage,” he said.
The Kapu leader said since Pawan Kalyan had referred to differences in his family, he, too, would have to speak about the actor’s family.
“Who are your three wives? Can you introduce them to the people? What is their status now? Can Pawan Kalyan give an explanation why he deserted them?” Mudragada asked.
He said the actor won’t have to bother about his (Mudragada’s) family affairs.
“You have to worry about your family members caught in pubs. You should first concentrate on rectifying troubles within your family, rather than poking your nose in the other family problems,” he said.
Mudragada also asked Pawan and also his daughter not to use his surname.
“I suggest that Kranthi should make use of her in-laws’ name, rather than claiming herself as Mudragada’s daughter,” he said and requested that she should not come to his place, even if something happens to him or his family members.
Meanwhile, Pawan Kalyan gave a bumper offer to Kranti.
“If she wants to join Jana Sena Party, we shall welcome her whole heartedly. I can even field her in the 2029 elections on behalf of Jana Sena,” he said.
The actor claimed that he was not the kind of person who creates differences within a family.
“I never wanted to separate Mudragada and his daughter. He is an elderly person and he can say anything against me. Being younger to Mudragada, I will bear whatever he says,” he said.
