It is a remake of Tamil hit Ratsasan in which Bellamkonda plays a cop who investigates serial murders.
Bellamkonda was hoping to bounce back with Rakshasudu as it managed to get a solo release on July 18.
But the release of Puri Jagannadh - Ram film iSmart Shankar has been rescheduled to July 18 as they don't want to release it during the World Cup final weekend.
Now, Bellamkonda either has to take on iSmart Shankar or advance his film's release by a week.
Rakshasudu cannot afford to postpone from July 18 as Dear Comrade and Saaho are bigger threats.
With iSmart Shankar looking red hot in the trade as well as with its pre release buzz, Rakshasudu has a ominous competitor to deal with.
