"Adipurush" ended its weekend run on a high note. Prabhas once again demonstrated his incredible potential to draw viewers to theaters, regardless of director or genre.
In the North Indian market, he is bigger than some of Bollywood's biggest stars.
The Hindi version of "Adipurush" grossed a stunning Rs 100 crore nett in India, demonstrating that Prabhas is on par with top Bollywood stars in North India.
Having said that, the film's true test is about to begin. On Monday, the Hindi version dropped dramatically. It may only earn Rs 8-9 crore on Monday, representing a nearly 70% reduction from Sunday.
A similar scene was depicted in Telugu.
In Telugu states, the film earned a stunning Rs 65 crore share (Rs 106 crore gross). The Telugu states' theatrical rights were purchased by People Media Factory. To break even, they will need to collect more than what they have collected so far.
Can they succeed in the coming days?
