Vijay Deverakonda’s upcoming film NOTA release has been finalized for October 5 after a lot of brainstorming.
Although the film was initially planned for release in October first week, Vijay preferred to release it on October 18 to cash in on the Dussera weekend.
Even producer Gnanavel Raja liked the idea, but things didn’t work out because of Dil Raju.
If the buzz from film circles is to be believed, Dil Raju exerted pressure on Raja to change the date as the former’s Hello Guru Prema Kosame is slated for release on October 18.
When Gnanavel Raja discussed about Dil Raju’s objection, Vijay was reluctant to miss out on Dussera release. However, he told the producer that he would take the opinion of fans by conducting a poll.
As most of Vijay’s fans voted for October 5, he was left with no other option but to nod in approval for the release of NOTA on the said date.
However, Vijay is reportedly upset with Dil Raju’s intervention and forcing his producer to change plans.
NOTA is riding on high expectations post Geetha Govindam’s blockbuster success. In NOTA Vijay will appear as a rebel politician, a tailor-made character for him.
