Almost all stars in the Telugu film industry have increased their pay. Revenues for films have more than doubled since the emergence of the OTT and Hindi dubbing markets. As a result, all top and mid-level actors have increased their salaries.
When compared to other stars, Balakrishna was modest in his salary demands. Prior to the release of "Akhanda," his remuneration was in the range of Rs 10 crore. It was only after the success of "Akhanda" that he asked for a slightly higher fee.
He received Rs 15 crore for "Veera Simha Reddy." On the other hand, actors like Nani and Ravi Teja had already crossed the Rs 20 crore mark long ago. However, Balayya received only Rs 15 crore for "Veera Simha Reddy" and his current film "Bhagavanth Kesari."
Unlike other actors, Balakrishna takes only a small advance before the film's release. He decides on his final pay at the end of the production, based on the producer's situation and the film's revenue.
However, it has been reported that Balayya will receive the highest remuneration of his career for his upcoming film, directed by Bobby. He will be paid Rs 25 crores for this project.
Megastar Chiranjeevi receives Rs 50 crores per film, while Ravi Teja earns Rs 20 crore. Nagarjuna and Venkatesh are paid between Rs 10 and Rs 12 crore.
Balayya, with a string of hits, earns Rs 25 crore, making him the second-highest paid actor among the senior stars.
