Government whip Buddha Venkanna stirred up a controversy when he referred to YSRCP MP Vijay Sai Reddy as a ‘mad man infected with rabies’ while speaking to the media.
Venkanna said that YS Jagan and Vijay Sai Reddy had spent 16 months in jail and were still doing the rounds of the judiciary every Friday.
Referring to them as the King and Minister of corruption, Venkanna said they had no right to criticize Chandrababu Naidu who was a paragon of virtue and honesty.
“11 inquiries were filed against Chandrababu Naidu during YSR’s time but they could not prove anything,” said Venkanna.
First of all, as the Government whip, Buddha Venkanna should maintain some decorum in his language.
He is only lowering the standards and giving the opportunity to the Opposition to respond in a similar vein.
While he might be doing this to curry favour with Chandrababu, the societal impact will be negative.
Also, Venkanna should realise that Chandrababu had only got himself a ‘stay’ from the cases filed against him. And if Chandrababu is a paragon of virtue as Venkanna claims then why has he barred Central agencies from operating in the State when he has nothing to fear?
Is he scared that the entire TDP will be doing the rounds of jails in the State?
When TV9 Ravi Prakash asked Nayeem, the notorious slain Naxalite, “You are a surrendered Naxalite. Where are you getting the money for all this maintenance, security and lifestyle? How is this possible?”
Nayeem responded saying, “When a person with 2 acres of land can become the Chief Minister of this State, why can’t I manage things? I am intelligent and trained.”
So, as one can see, Chandrababu is the inspiration for the likes of Nayeem. Does Buddhu Venkanna know this?
