The latest gossip in T-town is that veteran comedian Brahmanandam has been removed from the movie Macherla Niyojaka Vargam.
Starring Nithiin, Catherine Tressa and Krithi Shetty in the lead roles, the film marks the debut of editor MS Rajshehkar Reddy as director.
The unit of the film had recently gone to Vizag for a ten-day schedule which included Brahmanandam’s call sheets.
Now, it is an open secret that producers, directors and other actors have to bear the production issues inflicted by the likes of Brahmanandam and Prakash Raj which is somehow a counterpart to their superior talents.
Anyway, as usual, Brahmi never came on time for the shoot and more importantly, he was not doing as per the director's wish.
Apparently, the director being a debutant did not say anything but Nithiin was so irked by Brahmanandam’s behaviour that he gave the later a piece of his mind.
Nithiin’s family is producing the film and they took the decision to remove the comedian from the project.
Apparently, Brahmi was charging around Rs 5 lakh a day and with the decision to remove him, the producers stand to lose around Rs 50 lakh.
Nevertheless, the fact that they were willing to lose so much money rather than put up with the comedian’s antics speaks for itself.
