BJP wants to break Pawan-Naidu friendship?

Is the Bharatiya Janata Party national leadership planning to break the friendship between Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan and Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu?

The answer is yes, according to some political analysts. The way the BJP leadership extended invitation to Pawan Kalyan to the NDA conclave on Tuesday, while keeping Naidu at bay is an indication to this strategy of the saffron party.

“The move appears to be an attempt to break the bond between Pawan Kalyan and Chandrababu Naidu. The BJP is definitely gunning for Naidu and that is why it is trying to wean away Pawan Kalyan from Naidu’s influence,” an analyst said.

Obviously, the BJP national leadership doesn’t have any trust on Naidu, who is creating an impression that he is a changed man and that he wants to be friendly with the BJP. Though Naidu has been showering praises on Modi, calling him a visionary, it had no impact on the BJP and the Prime Minister. Readmore!

“The BJP does not trust Naidu as he is known for changing colours depending  on the situation,” the analyst said.

Now, the interesting point is whether or not Pawan Kalyan will fall in the line of the BJP and break his proposed alliance with the TDP. Soon after reaching Delhi on Monday night, the power star told the reporters that he was looking for an opportunity to discuss about the prospective alliances in Andhra Pradesh.

Since the Jana Sena already has an alliance with the BJP because of which Pawan Kalyan is in Delhi now, the only issue he would have to discuss with the BJP is whether they should invite the TDP into their alliance.

He, however, made it clear that the meeting would focus not just on the alliances, but also on how to take the programmes and policies of the NDA into the people.

“This is a clear indication that Pawan will continue to sail with the BJP,” the analyst said.

In all probability, the NDA meeting would decide the fate of Pawan – whether he would continue the alliance with the BJP or go with the TDP in the next assembly elections in AP.
