There is no need to explain about Telugu heroes’ remunerations. Top Telugu stars have already crossed the â¹100 crore mark. Some heroes charge anywhere between â¹40 crore and â¹80 crore.
Even actors who have not delivered a hit for many years are asking for at least â¹10 crore to step onto a film set.
So what about Tamil heroes? This question is important because many Tamil actors are now lining up to do Telugu films.
Dhanush has already acted in a few Telugu films and is expected to do more. He has reportedly taken advances from Telugu producers for one or two projects.
At present, Dhanush is said to be charging around â¹30 crore as remuneration. Sivakarthikeyan is also said to be in a similar range, slightly below that figure.
Another Tamil star, Karthi, who is expected to do a Telugu film soon, is reportedly charging around â¹30 crore.
When it comes to Ajith Kumar, the numbers are much bigger. His remuneration is said to be around â¹150 crore. He has done a Telugu film earlier, and talks are reportedly on for another project at a similar rate.
One major reason Telugu producers are keen on Tamil heroes is their strong OTT market.
Tamil stars have good reach on digital platforms, and producers believe that casting them helps in getting better OTT deals and easier sales.
Because of this strong theatrical and OTT value, Tamil heroes continue to enjoy good demand in Telugu cinema.
