Megastar Chiranjeevi's next film titled Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy is arguably one of the most anticipated releases this year.
Touted as a historical epic, the flick is based on the life of the unsung freedom fighter of the same name, Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy.
Along with the south actor, the cast of the movie also includes superstar Amitabh Bachchan, and the film will mark the first on-screen collaboration of the two.
Recently, the two megastars came together for an interaction with actor Farhan Akhtar and spilled beans on various topics ranging from their upcoming film to how Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy was Chiranjeevi's dream project.
During their conversation, Amitabh Bachchan revealed that he had advised Chiraneevi to not join politics, but the latter decided to go ahead with it and is now regretting his decision.
Big B said that he had also advised the same to Rajnikanth and Pawan Kalyan, but they were very passionate about this field. The Sholay actor quipped that he keeps giving advice to Chiranjeevi, but he never listens.
"One day he said sir you know, I think that I need to join politics. I said sir please don't make that mistake. I have told Rajni the same thing but he never listens. He says 'I don't know what to do sir'. Then I said please don't do this. Anyhow he went in, so he said, 'I am sorry sir but I have gone in now'. Then after sometime he came out and said, 'but I have come out of it now'." said Big B.
Chiranjeevi added and to Big B's revelation and said, "Yes. Now we are regretting."
For those who are unaware of the south superstar's political career, in 2008 Chiranjeevi started his own party, Praja Rajyam in Andhra Pradesh.
Later, in 2014, the actor received immense criticism, with many believing that he sold his party to the Indian National Congress, and blamed him for not having a stand against the state's bifurcation.
Along with Amitabh Bachchan and Chiranjeevi, Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy will also star Kichcha Sudeepa, Vijay Sethupathi, Jagapati Babu, Nayanthara, Tamannaah and Ravi Kishan in key roles.
The flick is being bankrolled by Chiranjeevi's son Ram Charan, and the flick is slated for an October 2 release.
