Bandi back in action, to resume yatra again!

After being unceremoniously sacked from the Telangana Bharatiya Janata Party president post, Karimnagar MP Bandi Sanjay has virtually gone into a silent mode. The party suffered heavy losses in the elections, after he was sidelined.

The BJP has improved its numbers from three seats to eight seats, only because of Bandi’s efforts earlier, as he took out padayatra in the name of “Praja Sangrama Yatra” across length and breadth of Telangana.

Apparently realising the craze for Sanjay among the people, the BJP national leadership has decided to bring him back into the focus in Telangana ahead of the Lok Sabha elections. So, the party has reportedly given him free hand to campaign in the state.

As part of the strategy, Sanjay, who was made BJP national general secretary, is embarking on yet another yatra, starting Saturday, but only in Karimnagar parliamentary constituency which he represents at present. Readmore!

The yatra is aimed at not only taking the development programmes of the Narendra Modi government at the Centre into the people and conquering Karimnagar once again, but also highlighting the overall welfare of the people of the constituency.

The “Prajahitha Padayatra” (foot march in the interest of people) will cover a maximum number of villages and all mandals under the Karimnagar parliamentary constituency and the route map has been readied to that effect.

Sanjay will kickstart his yatra from Medipalli mandal headquarters after performing special prayers at Lord Hanuman temple at Kondagattu.

In the first phase of yatra from February 10 to 15, he will take up the yatra in Vemulawada and Siricilla assembly constituencies. On an average, he will cover each constituency in a span of three days during the yatra.

On the first day, Sanjay will begin the yatra at Medipalli mandal quarters and walk through Kondapur, Rangapur, Bhimaram, Manneguda, Bommena, Duluru, Sirikonda and Kathalapur villages.

While he will travel from village to village in his vehicle, he will undertake the padayatra within the village limits.

The first phase of yatra, which will cover 119 kilometres, will culminate in a public meeting at Tangallapalli village of Siricilla assembly constituency.

During the yatra that will cover all mandals in these two constituencies, Sanjay will interact with large sections of people, understand their problems and explain to them the welfare schemes being implemented by the Narendra Modi government and the Central funds released for the development of villages and towns.

After taking part in the BJP national executive committee meetings to be held on February 17, 18 and 19, Sanjay will take up the second phase of his Prajahitha Yatra from February 20.
