Balineni angry again, surrenders his gunmen!

Former minister and senior YSR Congress party legislator from Ongole, Balineni Srinivas Reddy, who has openly expressed his dissatisfaction with the party leadership in the past by resigning from the YSRC regional coordinator committee post, is once again angry.

On Tuesday, Balineni wrote a letter to Director General of Police K V Rajendranath Reddy, stating that he was surrendering his gunmen to the department in protest against the alleged harassment of him and his followers by the Prakasam district police.

Expressing his dissatisfaction with the ongoing probe into the forged land documents scam in Ongole, Balineni said the police were deliberately leaking some names while withholding the names of the actual culprits.

He mentioned that he had written to the Prakasam Superintendent of Police three days ago, urging them not to spare anyone connected with the case, even if they were from the YSRCP and his followers. Despite the police claiming to have arrested 10 persons in the case, they were selectively leaking information to the media, he alleged. Readmore!

“I have never witnessed such an unfortunate situation in my life. This has only been happening in the last four years. The police are deliberately letting off the actual culprits. They should arrest everybody, including the YSRCP leaders,” Balineni said.

There are concerns about Balineni's intentions within the party. Recently, he made sensational comments, stating that YSRC leaders would face dire consequences if the Telugu Desam Party came to power in 2024.

“What will be our fate if the TDP comes to power? The TDP and Jana Sena Party leaders have already started issuing warnings to us. Please keep it in mind,” he warned.

Balineni has been disgruntled since last year when he was stripped of his cabinet minister post by party president and Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy. He was particularly hurt when Jagan retained his rival Adimulapu Suresh for a second term in the cabinet.

In April this year, he resigned from the post of YSRC regional coordinator. Although Jagan called him to the CM’s Camp office for discussions to pacify him, it did not change his mind. He, however, stated that he would continue in the party and work for its victory.

He alleged that two YSRC leaders were working against him, and he hoped the CM would rectify the situation. He made it clear that he was ready to make any sacrifice for the YSRC and as a responsible member of the party, he would not discuss any issues with others.
