A day after the shocking attack on senior YSRCP leader and former minister Ambati Rambabu, Andhra Pradesh witnessed another violent incident on Sunday.
The house of former minister Jogi Ramesh was allegedly vandalised and set on fire by hundreds of TDP supporters at Ibrahimpatnam.
According to local sources, a large mob stormed Jogi Ramesh’s residence, ransacked the premises, damaged household items and torched parts of the house.
The attack created panic in the area, with residents saying the mob acted in an organised manner and left behind widespread destruction.
Jogi Ramesh, a prominent BC leader, was allegedly targeted deliberately, raising serious concerns over the safety of opposition leaders in the state.
YSRCP leaders said the back-to-back attacks on former ministers within a span of two days indicate a complete breakdown of law and order and point to a growing pattern of political intimidation.
