Babu, Mamata put spokes in KCR's Federal Front!

TRS president and Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao, who dreamt of forming his 'Federal Front' at national level at a jet speed before upcoming Lok Sabha polls in April, has been facing resistance from Chief Ministers of AP and West Bengal, N.Chandrababu Naidu and Mamata Banerjee, who are also the presidents of TDP and Trinamool Congress.

The mega rally of anti-BJP parties conducted by Mamata Banerjee, which was fully backed by Chandrababu on January 19 in Kolkata dashed the hopes of KCR to form Federal Front of regional parties before Lok Sabha polls.

Almost all the major regional parties, numbering 23, attended Mamata's rally, which proved beyond doubt that they are in favour of Congress to be part of Mamata's Front to take on BJP in Lok Sabha polls.

KCR is now left with only four parties to approach for his Federal Front, which include YSRCP, Jana Sena, BJD and AIADMK. Readmore!

However, BJD and AIADMK are also seriously considering joining hands with Mamata's Front, provided it gets required numbers in Lok Sabha polls and forms government at the Centre.

This will leave KCR with only YSRCP and Jana Sena in his favour.Jana Sena is not expected to win a single Lok Sabha seat.

KCR will now has hope for YSRCP sweeping all the 25 Lok Sabha seats in AP and TRS winning all 17 seats in TS, which includes one seat of MIM.

KCR hopes to play 'crucial role' in national politics by banking on 25 YSRCP seats, 16 TRS seats and one MIM seat, totaling to 42.

After looking at Mamata's rally on Saturday, KCR is learnt to have come to a firm opinion that his Federal Front will not be a possibility before Lok Sabha polls and can take shape only after Lok Sabha results, if TRS, YSRCP and MIM together win 42 seats.
