James Cameron's prestigious highest budget film is set to hit the screens on Dec 16th across the world.
The premiers were screened in the USA as well in Mumbai. The talk has been 'a damp squib', 'twee and vapid tale' and many more.
Avatar was indeed a spectacular wonder when it came for the first time in 2009. It has been 13 years and so the same visuals add no new wonder to the audience's experience. The narrative should have gripped them which it didn't either.
The initial audiences say that it's all forced emotion and routine action drama around the water. The invasion of earthly humans on the planet is the same old phenomenon as in the first part of Avatar.
It's all how the protagonists' family members escape the attack flying on their pet dragons to a distant group of islands. The length of the film is 3 hour 12 minutes, which may prove cumbersome for an impatient audience.
The edge of the seat thrilling elements are too less to put the audience in trance making them unaware of the duration.
James Cameron said that the film should collect at least Rs 16,500 Cr at the world box office to make a breakeven. But with the first on the net reviews, it appears to be a wild goose chase.
We have to wait for two more days and see what actually is in store in this film.
