At last, RRR gets out of YSRCP!

After more than four years of rebellion against YSR Congress party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, rebel MP from Narasapuram Kanumuru Raghu Ramakrishna Raju has finally called it quits from the party.

In a strongly-worded resignation letter to Jagan on Saturday, Raju said he was tendering his resignation from the primary membership of the YSRCP as a mark of his strong conviction towards serving for public good. 

“I expect you to accept the same with a prompt reply or response at your earliest convenience,” he said. The rebel MP is also expected to resign from his Lok Sabha membership.

“However, every time you made an attempt, I also have equally made laudable, positive and even more powerful efforts working for my constituency and its holistic development as well its constituents at Narsapuram for the last 3.5 years despite of your hostility and malicious brutal acts to physically eliminate me,” he alleged.

The MP said: “As the time has come for all of us to face the Public Probity and mandate it will free both of us from this unsavoury association once for all.”

Raju has already announced that he would be contesting from the Narsapuram parliamentary constituency again on behalf of the TDP-Jana Sena Party alliance. If the BJP joins the alliance, Raju may be its candidate from the constituency, sources said.
