Kiran Abbavaram has voiced his frustration with the Tamil film industry's reluctance to provide theaters for his film "KA," which has led him to postpone the Tamil release initially planned for Deepavali.
He noted that, unlike Telugu distributors who often support dubbed films, the Tamil industry is less accommodating toward Telugu movies.
"KA" is scheduled for release on October 31st.
While Kiran Abbavaram initially promised a simultaneous release across five languages, only the Telugu version will debut on that date, with other language versions following a week later.
The situation raises questions: Are Tamil stars like Sivakarthikeyan, whose film "Amaran" is set for Diwali, wary of competition from Kiran Abbavaram? Or, as some might wonder, why isn’t "KA" being released in Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi now?
Kiran explained that he delayed the Malayalam release to avoid competition with Dulquer Salmaan’s Lucky Baskhar.
Dulquer’s company had agreed to distribute "KA" in Kerala, but Kiran claims a lack of similar support in Tamil Nadu.
However, this rationale appears inconsistent, as his decision to wait doesn’t entirely align with the reasons he cited for Tamil Nadu’s delayed release.
