AP Govt To Take Action On Andhra Jyothi Group

The State government had decided to take legal action against a section Andhra Jyothi group presenting false news against the government on Covid 19-related issues.

Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy expressed displeasure over Andhra Jyothi report by its MD Vemuri Radha Krishna in his Sunday Week end column, Kotha Paluku.

It was quoted the chief minister as saying that “there was no Covid 19 and he spoke to Jesus in the night.”

The chief minister took strong objection to the report which he termed as baseless, meaningless and ill-intended. Readmore!

He wondered why the officials were attending the review meeting if the government did not take the pandemic seriously. 

He also questioned the very base of the report and felt the need to contain such reports, which have the potential to mislead people.

“By writing like this they are taking the office of the Chief Minister to its lowest level,” Jagan Mohan Reddy said at the review.

“Are they human beings to write news like this, without any base?” the chief minister asked pointing at the Andhra Jyothi’s Sunday column.

The chief minister directed the officials to take legal action on the media for its false and ill-motivated reports.
