AP Govt To Change Curfew Timings From July 1

The State government is likely to change the curfew timings from July 1, according to the information available from the chief minister’s office.

Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy had instructed the officials to give relaxation in six districts while continuing the present schedule in five districts. 

The relaxation in eight districts would be from 10 pm to 6 am curfew giving relaxation from 6 am to 9 pm. The present relaxation timings are from 6 am to 5 pm.

However, in Krishna, Prakasam, Chittoor and the two Godavari districts, will continue to have curfew from 6 pm, due to more Covid positivity cases here. Readmore!

The chief minister after a review on the Covid situation in the state with the officials, had told them to relax the curfew time till 9 pm, in Guntur, Nellore, Kurnool, Kadapa, Ananthapur, Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram and Srikakulam districts.

The shops and establishments, besides the government offices, which are allowed to keep open till 5 pm now, would be allowed to keep open till 9 pm from July 1 in these eight districts. 

The Covid positive cases have considerably come down in these eight districts during the last month, prompting the chief minister to revise the curfew timings.
