AP Govt Sops For Women

As a gesture marking the International Women’s Day on March 8, the AP government had decided to extend 10 per cent discount on purchase of mobiles.

The state government had announced this scheme as a token of respect for women.

The state government had tied-up with some mobile dealers across the state to extend the benefit.

The women who purchase a mobile on March 8 in the selected shops in all 13 districts of the state, would get 10 per cent discount. Readmore!

Besides this, the government had also decided to extend special day off for the women in police department on March 8.

The state government also offered five additional casual leaves for all women employees of all departments per year.

The Anganwadi teachers and Ayaas would get annual health check-up at free of cost. 

The government would also provide Rs 5 lakh cash benefit to the women gazeted officers association.

The government had decided to provide special coaching for the girls to prepare for the competitive exams.

Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy told the women ministers in the cabinet that these measures would help women and girls to build self-confidence and march towards empowerment.
