Any answers for Sharmila queries, asks TDP

With Y S Sharmila launching her new regional party in Telangana on Thursday and announcing that she would fight for the interests of Telangana, Telugu Desam Party is trying to fire at her brother and Andhra Pradesh chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy from her shoulders.

On Friday, TDP Andhra Pradesh state general secretary P Anuradha challenged Jagan to answer the questions posed by his own sister Y S Sharmila with regard to the Krishna water dispute.

“Instead of sharing lunches, sweets and personal pleasantries, the two Telugu CMs should use their friendly relations for holding positive talks to resolve the dispute,” she said.

Anuradha accused the Jagan government of putting the farmers to all sorts of troubles with regard to the water rights, remunerative prices, interest free loans, seed, etc. The non-stop betrayals of the farmers began with the YSR rule itself. She said not even 2 percent of works were completed at Polavaram in the last two years. The TDP rule initiated irrigation projects such as Galeru Nagari, Handri Neeva, Telugu Ganga and many other projects. The Chandrababu rule allocated Rs. 81,554 Cr budget.

The TDP leader demanded the AP CM to explain whether it was not the 'Dhana Yagnam' related illegal assets cases that he was still answerable to the courts in many cases.

“It was unfortunate that Mr. Jagan Reddy, who harmed the farmers' interests at every step, was now celebrating 'rythu dinotsavam' without any conscience,” Anuradha said.
