Another Naidu man sent back to Centre!

Even as the suspension of senior Indian Revenue Service officer Jasti Krishna Kishore on charges of allegation raised a lot of heat and dust, the Jagan Mohan Reddy government on Saturday took yet another decision to cancel the deputation of another IRS officer.

The government revoked the deputation of Ch Venkata Gopinath and relieved him from the state services, as per his request. He would be sent back to his parent department of Central Board of Direct Taxes.

Gopinath, who had earlier been brought on deputation from the Centre by the previous Telugu Desam Party government headed by N Chandrababu Naidu, had worked in medical and health department.

Though he has the tenure to continue on deputation till June 26 next year, Gopinath requested that he be relieved immediately, as he had not been given any work for the last six months. Readmore!

Apparently, there were allegations of corruption against Gopinath as well during his tenure in the medical and health department during the TDP regime.

Former chief secretary L V Subrahmanyam reportedly recommended to the state government for taking action against Gopinath.

But somehow, the government did not frame charges against him, as it did in the case of Krishna Kishore.

So, when Gopinath requested for repatriation to the parent department, the government relieved him immediately.
