The latest blockbuster in town, Ranbir Kapoor's Animal, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga and featuring Rashmika Mandanna, Anil Kapoor, and Bobby Deol, has aced the Monday test with "distinction marks."
According to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, Animal achieved the "biggest Monday ever" by earning just over â¹40 crore.
The film's Hindi version has now amassed a total of â¹216.64 crore at the domestic box office, with regional dubs contributing an additional â¹29 crore, bringing the overall total for all versions of the film to over â¹246 crore.
Taran Adarsh noted that Animal's "exceptional hold on a working day is an eye-opener" and predicted that the film is likely to dominate the box office until the Christmas weekend, when Shah Rukh Khan's Dunki and Prabhas' Salaar are set to be released.
There is also speculation that Animal could join the 500 crore club of 2023, alongside SRK's Jawan and Pathaan, and Sunny Deol's Gadar 2.
