All was well until sometime ago regarding the Allu Arjun–Atlee film. The project had been generating hype, intrigue, and sustained interest because it was said to be based on a superhero concept with a parallel-world narrative.
With actresses like Deepika Padukone, Mrunal Thakur, Janhvi Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna reportedly being part of it, the mystery and hype around the content remained intact and exciting.
However, today there is news that a separate comedy track is being written by several Telugu comedy writers to run parallel to the main story for “wholesome entertainment.”
It is also being said that writers from the teams of Anil Ravipudi and Srinu Vaitla have been hired for this purpose. This has truly diluted the mystery of the film.
The very news about working on a comedy track with a different set of writers comes across as disappointing.
It weakens the seriousness of the main subject and gives the impression that the makers are trying to fill the film with unnecessary material, as if there isn’t enough strong core content.
It would be better if the film team officially commented on this and clarified how far it is true. Even if it is true, letting it leak as a rumour in this manner is counterproductive.
