Allu Aravind and Dil Raju Agree for 30% of Profits

Long back, GreatAndhra.com reported that producers Allu Aravind and Dil Raju had joined hands to produce a Hindi film and that it would be a remake of hit Telugu film, “Jersey” starring Nani. In Hindi, Shahid Kapoor will play the lead role. 

The movie was officially announced on Tuesday. According to sources, Shahid Kapoor initially quoted remuneration of a whopping Rs 50 crore for acting in this film, much to the shock of both the producers. 

Finally, Shahid has agreed to act in the film for a nominal remuneration but with a rider. He wants a 30 per cent share in the total business and profits.

To this, both Dil Raju and Allu Aravind have reportedly agreed and the film is all set to be launched shortly. 

Allu Aravind is not new to Hindi production but Dil Raju is stepping into Bollywood with this film. Aman Gill will handle the production in Bollywood. 

Both Dil Raju and Allu Aravind want to test their fortunes in Bollywood with this film. They have bigger plans for Bollywood content.

Allu Aravind will also co-produce ‘Ramayanam’ in three parts in the direction of Nitish Tiweri of ‘Dangal’ fame. On the other hand, Dil Raju has joined hands with Boney Kapoor to remake “F2” in Hindi. 

Shahid Kapoor hit the gold with “Kabir Singh”, the remake of our Tollywood blockbuster “Arjun Reddy”. He is now confident that the remake of “Jersey” remake would also give him another success.
