Mahesh Babu and Allu Arjun both took to social media last night to announce the release date of their upcoming films Sarileru Neekevvaru and Ala Vaikunthapuramulo respectively.
Interestingly, both have picked the same date and that too a Sunday! It was a surprise move as none of the films opted for a traditional Friday release.
In fact, a lot of discussions were happening between both the parties from a long time regarding the release date and Allu Arjun took the first step in making it official.
Mahesh Babu who is known to be adamant in such situations decided to go for head on clash with Allu's film.
More than Rs. 200 crore is at stake on these Sankranthi biggies and it is sad that it has come down to ego clashes between the leading men.
Mahesh has been reportedly unhappy with Allu Arjun ever since he pulled away Sukumar's project from his hands. This latest issue only worsened the relations between the heroes.
Buyers of both the movies are worried about same day release and it looks like the producers guild has to step in to avert this clash that is absolutely not needed.
