After Vanteru, TRS eyes Revanth with MLC post?

Vanteru Prathap Reddy and A Revanth Reddy have one thing in common. Both are arch rivals and bitter critics of KCR and his family members.

Both these Reddy leaders moved from TDP to Congress in 2018 to take on TRS in Assembly polls.

But these leaders lost recent Assembly polls in the hands of TRS and went into political oblivion.

TRS party sources said TRS working president K T Rama Rao has launched 'Operation Akarsh' on the directions of his father KCR to attract both these strong Reddy leaders into TRS fold. Readmore!

They said KTR could succeed in convincing Vanteru to join TRS likely today at 4 pm at Telangana Bhavan.

Vanteru was reportedly promised MLC seat or Medak ZP chairperson post or in case KCR shifting to national politics by contesting in upcoming Lok Sabha polls, the Gajwel seat to be vacated by KCR, will be offered to Vanteru in byelection.

Interestingly, Vanteru lost Gajwel election thrice since 2009, of which he lost two times to KCR in 2014 and 2018.

After Vanteru joins TRS, the focus will be shifted to Congress firebrand leader A Revanth Reddy.

Though TRS has no need to take any leaders from any party at this stage, both KCR and KTR want no strong leader to remain with Opposition. The aim is to make TRS more stronger and weaken Opposition further.

Revanth has been reportedly offered MLC seat as more than 10 MLC seats are falling vacant by this March-end and TRS has chances to bag all these seats given it's huge strength in Assembly.

Revanth too went into political oblivion and observing 'mauna vratam' (vow of silence) after his shocking defeat at the hands of TRS in recent Assembly polls and not uttering a single word against KCR and his family members.

KCR and KTR too are happy at Revanth's silence and want him to join TRS soon.
