It looks like Telangana Rashtra Samithi and Bharatiya Janata Party have come to an understanding on decimating the Congress party completely in Telangana.
While TRS leadership is luring the elected MLAs and other potential leaders from the Congress one after the other, the BJP is laying trap for defeated senior leaders of the Congress, so that no leaders of any calibre will remain the grand old party.
The sudden defection of former minister and senior leader D K Aruna into the BJP has thrown the doors open for the defection of senior leaders of the Congress into the saffron party.
According to the latest reports, the BJP leaders are negotiating with former Congress MLA from Gosahamahal Mukesh Goud and his son Vikram Goud and convincing them to join their party.
The BJP leaders are understood to have given all assurance that the party would take care of all their political and business interests.
Mukesh made desperate efforts to join the Telangana Rashtra Samithi before the recent assembly elections. But, he put a condition that he would join the TRS only if he and his son Vikram Goud are given tickets this time. But the TRS has refused to entertain both father and son.
After getting vexed with his conditions, the TRS leadership shut the doors on Mukesh and Vikram. Having no other option, he had to stay back in the Congress and contest the elections from Goshamahal, but lost miserably.
He came third with just 22,000 votes, after BJP candidate T Raja Singh retained the seat by defeating TRS candidate Prem Singh Rathore.
Now, with his political future turning bleak, Mukesh and Vikram are looking towards the BJP!
