Actresses do what the directors tell them to do as per the story demand. Hardly any actress responds to the feelings towards the character she plays.
But interestingly, Deepika Padukone responded about her feelings towards the character she played in the film 'Gehraiyaan'.
When asked she said that she is not completely okay with the choices her character takes in the film.
She expressed that she still wanted to portray her as a stronger woman viewers could relate to and not judge.
"As an actor, I have to step out of that lens of judgement...there is a reason why people do what they do," she concluded.
Apart from Deepika, Gehraiyaan also starred Ananya Panday, Siddhant Chaturvedi, and Dhairya Karwa. The film released on Amazon Prime Video on February 11.
