Skyscrapers getting destroyed, larger than life creatures creating massacre is something that we haven’t witnessed on Indian screens.
Hollywood thrives on such concepts and Shankar is on a mission to give that big ticket entertainment to the Indian audience with 2.0.
Like many Shankar’s movies 2.0 also has a social element. This time the fight is against excessive use of technology. An evil force rises against humanity and destroys the world that is using mobile phones.
Akshay Kumar looks unrecognizable and menacing as the fifth force and Rajinikanth suits up as the superpower Chitti again.
Unmatchable antics and mannerisms of Rajini are not missed. He is also as flirtatious as the original when he meets Amy the female Robo.
But the real action begins when Chitti takes on Akshay. Giant creatures battling out is a scene to watch out for.
Some shots don’t look impactful on 2D screens, but will surely make better impact when watched in 3D.
