Owaisi Backs Jagan, Criticizes Naidu and Pawan

AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi expressed confidence that if the YSRCP wins the upcoming elections in Andhra Pradesh, Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy will maintain the reservations for Muslims in the state.

Owaisi also stated that the people of Andhra Pradesh will teach a lesson to TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu and Jana Sena leader Pawan Kalyan for their alliance with the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA).

He clarified that the reservations provided to the Muslim community in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana are based on socio-economic criteria, not religion.

Speaking at an election rally in Goshamahal on Wednesday, May 1, Owaisi challenged Naidu to oppose Prime Minister Modi’s stance on Muslim reservations. He voiced his belief that Jagan Mohan Reddy would win the election, continue to support Muslim reservations, and defend the Indian Constitution.

The AIMIM leader accused the BJP of attempting to change the Constitution by removing Articles 29 and 30, which protect the rights of religious, linguistic, and cultural minorities in India.

He emphasized that these articles allow individuals from states like Tamil Nadu to establish educational institutions in places like Hyderabad, where minorities reside. Owaisi claimed that Modi and Amit Shah aim to eliminate these crucial constitutional provisions.
