Naga Vamsi Defends His Avatar 2 Remarks

The global box office for James Cameron's "Avatar 2" is on the track to exceed $2 billion.

Out of the top six films that crossed the 2 Billion mark, three films were directed by James Cameron- Totanic, Avatar and Avatar- The Way of Waters.

In the Telugu states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, "Avatar 2" also broke the records of the highest domestic gross by a Hollywood film.

However, when the film was released in December, Telugu producer Naga Vamsi stirred up controversy. He called it a dull documentary.

Offended by Naga Vamsi's description of the film as boring, film lovers have mocked him online. Even after a month has passed, Naga Vamsi has stood by his tweet.

To promote his upcoming film, Butta Bomma, the Telugu remake of a Malayalam film Kappela, the young producer admitted that he, too, was impressed by the film's visual effects but was unable to invest in the story.

He says that if critics of Telugu cinema industry could find faults in the films of Rajamouli and Trivikram, then he should feel free to do the same to James Cameron's. To him, Rajamouli and Trivikram are bigger than Camerons.
