Jagan Lists 27 Non-performing MLAs

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy had reportedly read out the names of 27 MLAs who were found not active and not participating in the door to door campaign of the party.

Jagan Mohan Reddy held a meeting with the ministers and MLAs at his camp office on his return from Tirupati on Wednesday.

The chief minister had reportedly told those 27 MLAs that he would not give them tickets in the 2024 elections as he is not ready to lose even a single MLA seat in the election.

Sources say that a deputy chief minister and two ministers from the present cabinet and a former deputy chief minister’s names were found in the list who are likely to be dropped in the next election.

The chief minister had reportedly told them that he had given enough time for the MLAs to become active.

However, these MLAs and Ministers were not participating in the door to door campaign and not meeting the voters.

While the door to door campaign was conducted for 70 days, these 27 MLAs, ministers and former ministers have participated in the programme for just 15 days.

The chief minister is said to have repeated his target of winning all the 175 Assembly constituencies in the next elections and told them that he would not compromise on victory.

It is to be seen what these 27 MLAs would do since their names were read out in the meeting.

Will they improve their performance or switch over to other parties ahead of elections is the question to be seen.
