Akhila Priya turning into a don, alleges brother

Despite being out of power, former minister from Allagadda and Telugu Desam Party leader Bhuma Akhilya Priya, daughter of former Nandyal MP late Bhuma Nagi Reddy, has turned into a virtual don in her constituency.

It was stated by none other than her own cousin Bhuma Kishore Reddy on Tuesday.

Kishore said Akhila Priya’s atrocities were on the rise in Allagadda and she has been threatening contractors and extorting commissions for various works in the constituency.

He alleged that the other day, Akhila Priya and her men called a contractor Rahman from Rudaravaram village for settlement and beat him up to loot Rs 1.35 crore form him.

“The TDP leadership should pull up Akhila Priya and see that the money is returned to Rahman. If anything happens to his life, the TDP will be held responsible,” he said.

Kishore wondered whether Akhila was resorting to such atrocities with full knowledge of the TDP leadership.

“Why are not they questioning her and rein in her? What kind of message do they want to give to the people with such mafia activities?” he asked and requested that the Jagan government should do justice to the contractors.

For the last few years, there has been a cold war between Akhila Priya and her cousins.

After 2019 elections, the Bhuma family was vertically split, as the cousins alleged that Akhila’s husband Bhargav Ram had been interfering in every issue.

While Akhila is continuing in the TDP, Kishore and others joined the Bharatiya Janata Party.

They alleged that Bhargav Ram and his followers demolished the compound wall of their house in Nandyal. The police have booked a case are investigating.
