Telugu Desam Party chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu’s politics are different. He comes from a different school of politics.
He never hits his rivals directly but takes a roundabout route to hit them. He never pushes his rivals into a valley rather he tries his best to push the valley hard so close to the rival and sees that the rival slips into the valley.
He spends a lot of time in weaving a net around the rival and watches the rival trapped. To be precise, Chandrababu Naidu finds his strength in making his rival weak. In the process he forgets the key point that he should strengthen his armour.
Having spent over four decades in political life and having been part of several key developments in the country, Chandrababu Naidu is the same even now.
His rivals for all these decades have been kind to him to play his own politics. They were different rivals who had their own values and ignored Naidu’s style of conspiracy.
Even late Dr. Y S Rajasekhar Reddy, who taught the taste of defeat to Naidu twice, could do so by his own style of politics where he believed in making himself strong and being strong.
Now, Naidu seems to be badly looking for sympathy as he lost badly in the 2019 general election and even worst in the subsequent elections.
He had to taste a bitter defeat in the Kuppam Municipal election, where he has been winning since 1989 and is considered his fortress. His open cry in the media conference recently proved that Chandrababu Naidu is not the same old leader who works to weaken his rivals.
The series of humiliating defeats seems to have changed him to look for sympathy. That seems to be the reason for Naidu to cry in front of the media knowing fully well that his cry would make a national story in the media.
These days he is not focusing much on weakening his rival – Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy – but is trying to seek sympathy from the people.
The sympathy factor, which did not work for him in 2004 after the bomb attack on him at Alipiri, may not work this time too, though he goes around and tells people that his wife is humiliated.
