The new policy of AP government with regard to the selling of tickets online is bringing in happiness to the producers whose films are not ready to release.
They are not openly expressing their happiness but discussing within themselves that they can come out from the oppressions of big heroes and directors that they have been facing all these years.
But the big producers who are about to release their films are in tension now.
They committed huge sums to their heroes and directors assuming that the tickets can be sold at highest prices in benefit shows and also with hiked up ticket prices in the first three days like before to make break even.
But now, the AP government is hell bent on giving permissions to benefit shows, be the film big or small.
The total involvement of the government in online ticket sales is also a let down as there will be no backdoor to make money and give to star heroes as per the commitment.
Big films are already suffering from online piracy, entertainment tax, increase in the daily wages of cine workers, direct OTT releases, half occupancy at the theaters, and several other entertainment programs in different channels.
Now the stringent rules of the government is an added issue for the big heroes and big directors who are minting money with each film they do. It will be a full stop for their greed.
The bottom-line is that the producers are happy now but the stars are not. Somebody's happiness always leads to someone else's sorrow.
