Reel Buzz: Vakeel Saab Takes a Fee of 65 Cr

Power Star and Jana Sena party president Pawan Kalyan’s comeback movie “Vakeel Saab” ended its run in the theaters.

The film continues to run in select theaters before they shut the operations owing to the pandemic situation. Producer Dil Raju has not revealed the film’s collections for various reasons.

But our sources inform both Pawan Kalyan and producer Dil Raju have made a huge profit on this project.

Pawan Kalyan alone is taking home Rs 65 crore for this film as per the prior agreement. He got Rs 50 Cr as his remuneration, plus a percentage in the overall business.

Dil Raju reportedly made Rs 150 crore business (theatrical, satellite, and digital rights).

Prakash Raj was paid about Rs 1 Crore. Music director Thaman and cinematographer PS Vinod are the only other members who demanded good remuneration. Rest of the cast and crew charge in just lakhs of rupees. So, the cost of production is very less for this project.

All in all, Dil Raju will be making a cool Rs 50 crore profit. He may have to shell out some part to producer Boney Kapoor as he owns the rights of “Pink”. “Vakeel Saab” is the official remake of the Bollywood movie “Pink”.

So, Pawan Kalyan has taken a huge fee for less number of working days.
